MIAMI – Texas A&M University-Commerce football team alum Kader Kohou has made the 53-man roster for the Miami Dolphins ahead of the final cut deadline on Tuesday afternoon. Kohou looks to become the first Lion to appear in a National Football League game since 2006.
Kohou inked an undrafted free agent contract with the Dolphins on the final day of the draft and recorded three tackles during the preseason. He has signed a three-year contract with the Dolphins. He can become the first Lion alum since Kevin Mathis to play in an NFL game. Mathis’ last appearance came for the Atlanta Falcons in 2006.
In week one of the season, the Dolphins host division rival, New England Patriots at Noon CDT on September 11. The game against the Patriots will be televised by CBS.
