TAMUC Students Showcase Their Work at Annual Juried Art Exhibition
Students majoring in Art at Texas A&M University-Commerce put their work on display to be judged by a guest artist as part of the annual Juried Student Art Exhibition.
The students' submissions were judged by Dr. Elizabeth Ranieri, a visiting juror who currently serves as a clinical assistant professor at the University of North Texas.
A reception and the announcement of award winners was held on March 7. The students' work is currently displayed in the University Gallery, located at the A&M-Commerce Art Building. The pieces will stay on display for public viewing until April 21.

- 1st place (Best in Show): Mary Beth King, “Insidious” (Oil on canvas)
- 2nd place: Ivan Lopez, “Main Character Syndrome” (Video)
- 3rd place: Morgan Guinessey, “Octopie” (Acrylic on canvas)
- Undergraduate Excellence Award: Niyogushima Juste, “The Collision” (Graphite on paper)
- Graduate Excellence Award: Minako Bass, “Bloomers in the Summer” (Glazed stoneware)
- Department of Art Award: Hermila Cuevas, “Quetzalcoatl Llora por su Gente” (Stoneware, colored slip, polyurethane, moss and enamel)
- Purchase Award: Yeonhwa Lee, “Dive with you” (Graphite on Paper)
- President's Choice Awards:
