Program for System Admission (PSA)
Join the Texas A&M University System
You are invited to participate in the Program for System Admission (PSA) as a pathway to Texas A&M University.
The PSA program is designed for pre-qualified students who did not receive freshman admission to Texas A&M University. This alternative admission program allows you to study at a Texas A&M University System Institution (like East Texas A&M) with the goal of transferring to Texas A&M. Once you've completed your freshman year at East Texas A&M, you can enroll at Texas A&M University. Join the A&M System and the Lion family today!

PSA program eligibility
Texas A&M University will notify you through the Applicant Information System (AIS) if you qualify for the PSA program. Once notified, you will have the option to accept the PSA offer and select which Texas A&M University System institution you wish to attend. If you meet our automatic admission requirements, you will see East Texas A&M University as one of your choices. We encourage you to choose East Texas A&M as your PSA campus. You must respond to the Program for System Admission offer via the AIS by May 1. Once you have accepted the PSA offer and selected East Texas A&M, the TAMU Office of Admissions will send your application, high school transcript and test scores here. You do not need to apply to East Texas A&M directly. Your application materials will be forwarded from Texas A&M. We will notify you once we receive and process your documents. Please check the email you provided to Texas A&M on your original application as we will use this email for future communication.
Note: Not all majors are eligible for the PSA program. Texas A&M University determines which majors are PSA approved, and the selected majors vary each year. Participating colleges and departments for the 2020-2021 year are listed on the PSA program webpage.
After you’ve been admitted to East Texas A&M
Review your Program for System Admission degree plan. Program requirements are listed under the “Participating Colleges/Departments” section. It is recommended that you take developmental course(s) and/or prerequisite course(s) before enrollment at East Texas A&M. For example, some programs require college algebra and pre-calculus before enrolling in higher-level math courses. Speak with our PSA advisor, [email protected], to make sure you’re on track towards success.
