Dual Credit Payment Arrangements
Financial Agreement and Tuition Information for Dual Credit Students
An important part of enrolling in any college course is understanding the tuition payment process.
Financial Agreement
The Financial Agreement form establishes an understanding between the student and the university, confirming that tuition and fees will be invoiced to your account. It also clarifies the available payment options. This form needs to be reviewed and signed by the student.
How to Access the Form:
- Log into myLEO and select Registration, Records and Grades
- On the next screen, choose Registration
- Then select Register/Add or Drop Classes
Payment Deadlines
Tuition
Tuition may be paid in full or through an installment payment plan. Making a partial payment on an account is not the same as setting up a payment plan, so please be wary of making partial payments. Tuition is typically due the day before classes start. To confirm payment deadlines, visit the myLEO portal or the Critical Dates page on the East Texas A&M website.
Reinstatement
After the first class day, all students have an additional 15 days to make payment arrangements before they are dropped from their classes. If you are dropped from dual credit classes, you will have five days to get those classes reinstated by filling out a Reinstatement Form.
Reinstatement Fee
A $200 reinstatement fee will be charged to your account after you submit your Reinstatement Form. Please do not make additional payments to your account until after the $200 reinstatement fee appears.
Students are no longer eligible to enroll in any classes after the 20th class day.
Payment Options
If a dual credit student is responsible for paying their tuition, they have the option to either pay their balance in full or set up an installment payment plan. Students may use the following methods to pay the balance on their account:
- LeoPay (located inside the myLEO portal)
- Parent LeoPay: You can authorize a parent or third party to make payment arrangements on your behalf through Parent LeoPay (through LeoPay). After you have granted them access, they will be able to view bills, make payments or manage your account.
- Mailed Payments
- Telephone Payments
- In-Person Payments
Financial Aid for Dual Credit Students
Some dual credit students may qualify for Financial Aid for Swift Transfer (FAST). The FAST program provides funding to participating public institutions of higher education so they can offer dual credit courses to educationally disadvantaged students at no cost.
To find out if you qualify for FAST, visit the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
State College Tuition Waiver
The State College Tuition Waiver is a state law that exempts or waives payment of tuition and fees at state supported colleges or universities for youth who are currently or formerly in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and for those adopted from DFPS. To see if you qualify for an exemption, visit DFPS State College Tuition Waiver. If you qualify, please complete the DFPS State College Tuition and Fee Waiver Form and submit it to [email protected]. To explore other available resources for students who have been in foster care, check out the Foster Care Liaison Program which helps students with campus navigation, life skills coaching, advocacy and support.
