2024 Family Day

Family Day is the year's first big event for new students and their families! We invite you to join us for a fun-filled day with multiple events, activities, prizes, food, music and tons of Lion Spirit!

Registration is $50 per group of six, including the Family Day t-shirt, food, and access to all Family Day programs and Lion Athletic events on September 21.

Event Registration is Closed.

Below is the check-in time and location:

September 21 | 1:00 p.m. | Ferguson Auditorium

You only have to check in once. At check-in, we will provide you with all the materials you need for the day. If you cannot arrive during check-in hours, your student can check in for you.

VISIT A&M-COMMERCE WITH EASE!

Do not worry about parking on campus. You will not need a parking pass to park on campus. The only locations requiring parking passes are Lots 1-4 for the Saturday, September 21 football game.

If you want to purchase a reserved parking spot for the football game on Saturday, you can pay with a credit or debit card at the parking lot on game day or call 903.468.8756 and purchase your spot in advance. Reserved parking spots are $25 per game.

Please note there will still be free parking options available on Saturday.

There is something for everyone at Family Day! We encourage you to wear comfortable clothing. We have a movie planned, plus an unforgettable experience at the Tailgate before the football game, where you can cheer on the Lions with your students.

No, your East Texas A&M student does not have to pay the Family Day registration fee.

Do I have to register?

Yes! The East Texas A&M Family Day Committee coordinates opportunities for families to enjoy a campus experience with their students.  The day includes social events, opportunities to network with University administration, faculty and staff, Family Day t-shirt, tickets to Lion Volleyball and Football games and much more!

Do I have to check in for Family Day?

Yes!  You will need to check in to get your Family Day t-shirt, wristband/food vouchers and tickets.

Can my student check in for our family?

Yes, your student can check you in and gather your t-shirt, lanyard and tickets. Please make sure your student brings their East Texas A&M Lion Card (student ID).

Is my Family Day registration fee refundable?

Family Day registration fees are not refundable. Please encourage your student to pick up your registration materials even if you cannot attend.

Do I have to wear the Lanyard?

Yes, you will need to wear your lanyard at all Family Day events. This will be your admission to events.

What happens if I lose my lanyard?

If you lose your lanyard, please come to the Family Day check-in at the Ferguson Auditorium

You must have an actual ticket to get into the East Texas A&M football game.

Where should I stay for Family Day?

There are a number of hotels in Hunt County and Hopkins County to suit your needs! Commerce, Greenville (approx 14 miles from campus), and Sulphur Springs (approx 20 miles from campus) all offer accommodations that are a short drive to campus.

Where can I park during Family Day?

Feel free to park anywhere on campus during Family Day. Please observe and respect reserved spaces for accessible parking, special staff (i.e Resident Directors), university vehicles and emergency vehicles.

What can I expect at the Family Day Tailgate?

Enjoy a family-oriented tailgate experience located in the official Lion tailgating section.  We will provide traditional tailgate food and drinks.  This event is open to ALL Family Day participants and is not dependent on you attending the game.
