Marketing and Business Analytics Student Organization Kicks Off the Fall Semester with its Semi-Annual Welcome Party
As the Fall 2023 semester gets underway at A&M-Commerce, the Marketing and Business Analytics Student Organization (MKTBA) successfully hosted its semi-annual Welcome Party on September 20, at the Dallas location.
Open for all to attend, a group of roughly 50 people comprised of new and existing MKTBA members, along with several College of Business faculty and staff attended the event. The attendees had the opportunity to meet with the MKTBA officers who shared the organization’s mission, goals and plans for the upcoming semesters, which included several workshops and competitions.
Additionally, a Q&A session was hosted allowing participants to ask questions directly to the College of Business Dean as well as a number of professors and academic advisors that also attended. The session allowed the professors to share their real-world experiences in the marketing and business analytics fields with the students while highlighting the plethora of benefits that a designated STEM degree offers.
Dr. Zaki Malik, Head of the Marketing and Business Analytics Department and Professor of Business Analytics said, “At the College of Business, we are committed to enriching the overall academic experience of our students.” He continued, “The MKTBA is one of the largest and most active student organizations on campus that engages with students through activities that are aimed to support and advance not just the knowledge of our students but also their careers.”
MKTBA President, Tapasya Singh, addressed the students saying: “Our semi-annual Welcome Party is more than just an event; it's a platform for each of us to grow, learn, and connect.” She went on to welcome back the returning members and encouraged the new members to explore the opportunities that the MKTBA has to offer whilst learning more about how the organization is dedicated to supporting its members in their academic and career pursuits.
