Visiting artist celebrates the American craftsman

Alumnus Tadd Myers has a new book out entitled, “Portraits of the American Craftsman.” It is a beautiful collection of photographs documenting small business owners, those who put a piece of themselves into their products, highlighting the meticulous, loving details that most take for granted.

“This book is like my third-born,” said Myers.

The Department of Art hosted a showing of some of the photographs in the book, inspiring young artists to find the beauty in almost anything. A senior photography student complimented Myers, saying that he wanted to learn the stories behind every photo, and he is inspired to do the same kind of work.
