TAMUC Alumni Association President Michael Lamb Hired as Superintendent of Little Elm ISD
A&M-Commerce Alumni Association President Michael Lamb was recently hired as the new superintendent of Little Elm ISD.
Lamb currently serves as superintendent of Sulphur Springs ISD, a position he has held for almost 11 years. He is set to begin his new role on May 1.
According to an article in the Sulphur Springs News Telegram, Lamb was chosen for the position from more than 60 candidates.
“I think we have done some great things in Sulphur Springs in my time. We have a tremendous school board, teachers and staff. I am very proud of our accomplishments. The things we did here are a reason that Little Elm talked to me. They want the same sort of thing to happen in their district. I am up to that challenge,” Lamb said in the article.
Little Elm, located in Denton County, is a 6A district with 8,100 students. By comparison, Sulphur Springs ISD has 4,200 students. Lamb graduated from A&M-Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Math and a Master of Education in Educational Administration.
