A&M-Commerce Among Most Affordable Online Colleges in Texas
A&M-Commerce ranks No. 18 among “Online Colleges in Texas That Win on Affordability,” according to AffordableCollegesOnline.org (AC Online). Measuring the core criteria of quality and cost in data from sources such as the National Center for Education Statistics, AC Online placed A&M-Commerce higher than 35 other Texas schools with online degree offerings.
The colleges and universities ranked by AC Online are fully accredited public or private, non-profit institutions that grant four-year degrees and offer at least one degree program fully online. A&M-Commerce offers 16 online degree programs, ranging from a bachelor's in business administration to a doctoral degree in higher education leadership.
“We are using the latest research regarding student learning, coupled with faculty input and guidance, to rethink higher education delivery options,” said Dr. Mary Hendrix, vice president of Student Access & Success at A&M-Commerce. “Our online programs are especially valuable to our students because we have many students who are balancing work, families and school.”
The university's focus on quality instruction, student access and affordability makes A&M-Commerce competitive, and Hendrix says that A&M-Commerce's membership in The Texas A&M University System is also beneficial to students.
“The Texas A&M name is recognized and valued by employers and receiving a degree from our institution enhances our graduates’ career opportunities,” Hendrix said.
AC Online aims to educate students about their options for obtaining and paying for college degrees. The website provides rankings for all 50 states as well as information about career choices and financial aid.
