A&M-Commerce Flute Ensemble Performing at National Convention this Summer
The Flute Choir at Texas A&M University-Commerce recently announced their invitation to perform a showcase concert at the 2024 National Flute Association (NFA) Convention in San Antonio, Texas. The 52nd annual convention is scheduled for August 1-4. The NFA was founded in 1972 and boasts more than 3,000 active members hailing from all 50 U.S. states, according to the association’s website. The A&M-Commerce flute studio is led by Dr. Julee Kim Walker, associate professor of Flute, who has taught at TAMUC since 2012. Walker also heads the Texas Summer Flute Symposium, which is held at A&M-Commerce each year.
