A&M-Commerce Online Master’s in Management Receives National Recognition
The online Master of Science in Management program at A&M-Commerce has been recognized by OnlineMasters.com as one of the best graduate programs in the nation for 2019. The program was one of only two in Texas named to the list.
“We have once again recognized Texas A&M University-Commerce for having one of the best graduate programs in the nation! Your commitment to education is exemplified in your placement on our Best Online Master’s in Management Programs for 2019 lists,” said Barbara Montgomery, program recognition manager for OnlineMasters.com.
A panel of 27 industry experts, hiring managers, current students and alumni consulted with OnlineMasters.com to analyze every online master's in management program in the United States. From that research, 47 of the best programs were identified.
“Being ranked among the Best Online Master’s in Management Programs for 2019 reflects our long-standing AACSB accreditation, competitive acceptance rate and a tuition cost that makes us a very strong value in the market,” said Dr. Shanan Gibson, dean of the College of Business. “These are also the reasons that we continue to be an exceptional education that is accessible and flexible.”
The program was also recognized as the “Most Military Friendly” program. According to OnlineMasters.com, A&M-Commerce “is a military-friendly school with benefits and services to help military students succeed in school and in their careers. Whether it’s tuition assistance, academic guidance or other benefits, veterans and active service members can receive a higher education to help propel their careers to upper-level management positions.”
The methodology for the rankings included three main areas of focus: academic quality, student success and affordability. Within academic quality, the panel of experts looked at graduation rate, number of online programs offered, instructors with academic credentials that are on par with those of on-campus instructors as well as other factors. In the student success category, the panel used polling and assessment survey responses from current students and alumni to examine graduate reputation, student engagement and student services and technology. In the final category of affordability, the panel examined average net cost and percent students with loans and default rate.
