A&M-Commerce Students Present Research at Annual ASHS Meeting

Four students of Texas A&M University-Commerce presented their research at the annual American Society for Horticultural Science – Southern Region meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. The meeting was held from January 31 through February 2.

The student research–two graduates and two undergraduates–was the culmination up to a year of work on crepe myrtle bark scale, the interaction between crepe myrtles and bees in the landscape, and a technique for monitoring bees and other pollinators.

The graduate students included Michael Bledsoe and Canaan Sutton. The two undergraduate students were Taryn Bazhaw and Martin “Tino” Mendietta.
