Art Professor Wins Photo Society Award

COMMERCE, Texas — Vaughn Wascovich, an assistant professor of art at Texas A&M University-Commerce, has received the Garry B. Fritz Imagemaker Award from the Society for Photographic Education.

The Imagemaker Award was created in memory of SPE member Garry B. Fritz and is funded by a gift from the Oregon Community Foundation.

The award is given to a first-time imagemaker presenting at an SPE national conference with outstanding achievement. The award consists of a $1,000 cash prize.
