Athletic Facility at University of Arkansas at Monticello Named After Distinguished East Texas State University Alum

The University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) recently renamed its indoor athletic practice facility in honor of Dr. Jack Lassiter and his wife, Judy Lassiter. Lassiter received his bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from East Texas State University. The couple served UAM in various roles for nearly 28 years. Lassiter was UAM chancellor for more than 10 years, retiring in 2014, and is a Distinguished Alum of A&M-Commerce.
