Be Aware! Be Safe!
Today, October 7th, a Robbery was reported to UPD. The victim stated that he was assaulted in the vicinity of Gee Lake on October 5th at around 8 PM by two males. During the assault, the victim was knocked to the ground. While he lay on the ground, one of the males grabbed the victim's wallet and took a credit card and some cash.
The suspects are described as two black males in their late teens or early twenties, of medium build and wearing hoodies. They fled from the Gee Lake area towards University Dr.

To avoid becoming a victim of this kind of crime you should:
- Report suspicious persons immediately, and remain in your vehicle or home until police arrive.
- Travel in groups whenever possible and avoid entering deserted areas.
- If you are the victim of a robbery follow the instructions of the robber.
- Do not argue or attempt to fight with your assailant.
Try to remember what the robber looks like, what he/she was wearing and call the police as quickly as possible.
