Bluebonnet Chorus Presents Holiday Concert Dec. 7
COMMERCE, Texas – The Bluebonnet Chorus and Orchestra will present a free Christmas concert on Sunday, Dec. 7, at First United Methodist Church of Commerce.
Directed by Texas A&M University-Commerce music department head Chris White, the Bluebonnet Chorus will perform Part I of George F. Handel’s “Messiah.” The Bluebonnet Chorus is an ensemble of singers from A&M-Commerce and the community.
The “Messiah” soloists from the community include Andrew Seigrist, principal at Blue Ridge Independent School District; Cynthia Whitaker, retired social worker from Greenville, and Karen Starks from the Commerce Chamber of Commerce.
The A&M-Commerce soloists are music faculty members Roger Bryant and Darla Meek and students Kayli Davis, Cassandra LaRue, Destiny Whitley, and Heather White.
The 7:30 p.m. concert will open with the A&M-Commerce Chorale conducted by Dr. Bonnie Sneed.
The public is invited to the concert.
