COB Surprises Local Nursing Home
On the 14th of February, 2021, the Marketing and Engagement Committee, on behalf of the College of Business (COB) at A&M-Commerce, sponsored a COVID safe visit to the Woodmoore Nursing Home in Bonham, Texas. As part of the COB Gives Back program, COB donated 40 blankets and customized greeting cards to the residents along with goodie bags for the frontline workers who are taking care of them. The donations were made possible thanks to the generosity of faculty, staff and students. The blankets and goodie bags were donated to the residents of the nursing home who have been locked down and felt isolated during the pandemic. The timing couldn't have been better since the residents and employees received their gifts just prior to the severe winter storm in February. The Woodmoore Nursing Home currently houses 40 residents and 12 courageous frontline workers.
