College of Business Director Appointed to Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce
Yazan Kakish, director of Marketing and Communications at the Texas A&M University-Commerce College of Business and an Adjunct Professor of Marketing, has recently been appointed as the newest member of the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce (DJCC).
The DJCC, renowned as the premier young professional organization in the DFW metroplex, caters to individuals aged 21 to 40. In his new role, Kakish will represent A&M-Commerce, facilitating opportunities not only for university students but also for members of the communities in Commerce and Dallas, Texas.
James Sackey, President of the Dallas Junior Chamber of Commerce, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Yazan to our board. His appointment brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly prove invaluable to our organization. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with him to expand the DJCC, providing even greater opportunities for young professionals to flourish and contribute positively to our community.”
Kakish shared his excitement for the journey ahead, emphasizing his commitment to driving positive change and fostering growth and development, both within the chamber and among students.

Originally from Jordan, Yazan commenced his journey at A&M-Commerce in 2021. After earning a master's degree in business administration (MBA) with a minor in Marketing Analytics, he joined the university in his current capacity. With more than 14 years of experience in PR, Advertising and Marketing, including serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications for Marriott's W Amman hotel, Yazan brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
