College of Business Kicks Off 2025 with Quarterly Alumni Breakfast

The College of Business at East Texas A&M University hosted its first Quarterly Alumni Breakfast of the year on Thursday, February 6. This event brought together graduates, faculty, and future business leaders to celebrate the power of connection and community.
These gatherings serve as a cornerstone of the university's mission to transform lives, fostering opportunities for alumni to give back, mentor, and engage with current students while strengthening their ties to their alma mater.
“At the College of Business, we strive to engage with our students not just in the classroom but throughout their professional journeys,” said Yazan Kakish, Director of Marketing and Communications and Adjunct Professor of Marketing. “We want to be a part of their success stories, celebrate their milestones, and forge relationships that withstand the test of time. These breakfasts are more than networking events—they are about building a legacy that supports future generations of business leaders.”
The event underscored the importance of lifelong connections and alumni involvement in shaping the future of business education at ETAMU. Aaron Helm, an alumnus in attendance and owner of Helm Business & Marketing Solutions, reflected on the lasting impact of his experience, saying, “I received my education at East Texas A&M, but it was the alumni who gave me my community. I'm proud to call ETAMU my home and grateful for the connections that have shaped my journey.”
The Quarterly Alumni Breakfast Series is an ongoing initiative to unite former students, share success stories, and explore ways to give back and impact the communities where ETAMU graduates thrive. The College of Business remains committed to strengthening these bonds and ensuring alumni continue to play an active role in mentoring and inspiring the next generation of Lions.
