College of Business Students Attend CREW Dallas Luncheon Featuring Ray Washburne

Several students from East Texas A&M University's College of Business were invited to attend the CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Dallas event, “Insights from Ray Washburne – November Industry Luncheon,” held on November 20, 2024, at the Park City Club in Dallas, Texas. The luncheon featured Ray W. Washburne, a prominent real estate and business leader, who shared his expertise and experiences in the industry.

Washburne, Chairman of the Board of Sunoco LLC, President of HP Village Management, and Co-Founder of M Crowd Restaurant Group, captivated the audience with stories of his real estate ventures. These include luxury retail developments such as Highland Park Village, a premier shopping destination in Dallas, and his broader vision for the future of the city. His insights provided attendees with a deeper understanding of the evolving business landscape and its opportunities.

For Kaci Goggans, President of the Finance Society at ETAMU, the event was a significant learning experience. “Being in a room full of well-established professionals eager to offer guidance was incredibly impactful,” she shared. “Each CREW event I've attended has given me valuable knowledge and insight, and this one was no exception.”

Khadidiatou Lo, also a College of Business student attendee, found the luncheon inspiring. “Mr. Washburne's speech was insightful and encouraging,” she remarked. “It was a pleasure listening to him, and I appreciated the opportunity to network with successful professionals and see how far they've come in their careers.”

The event highlighted the College of Business's commitment to providing students with opportunities to engage with industry leaders and gain practical insights that enhance their education. The collaboration with CREW Dallas continues to foster professional growth and networking opportunities for ETAMU students.
