Distinguished Alumna Zenetta Drew Nominated for APAP Award
A&M-Commerce alumna Zenetta S. Drew has been nominated for a 2021 Association of Performing Arts Professionals Award (APAP).
According to an article in Broadway World, the awards celebrate individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a significant impact on the industry and communities they serve.
Drew is among 53 performing arts professionals and organizations who were nominated by APAP members for an award.
Drew serves as executive director of Dallas Black Dance Theatre (DBDT). She has been with DBDT since 1987 and has seen the company develop from an annual operating budget of $175,000 to over $3.9 million.
APAP will recognize the nominees and announce the final award recipients at a virtual ceremony on May 6.
Drew is a 2016 A&M-Commerce Distinguished Alumni Recipient and holds a BBA in Accounting from A&M-Commerce.
