Dr. Salazar Appointed Senior Associate Editor of a Counseling Journal
Dr. Carmen F. Salazar, professor of Counseling in the Department of Psychology, Counseling and Special Education at Texas A&M University-Commerce, has been appointed to a three-year term as Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Counseling and Development.
“I feel honored to be chosen from among my peers nationally to serve the American Counseling Association in this role,” said Dr. Salazar. “I welcome the opportunity to make a small impact on the entire profession.”
The Journal of Counseling and Development is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the American Counseling Association. It publishes practice, theory, assessment and diagnosis, trends, practitioner profiles and research articles across 19 different specialty areas and work settings.
Founded in 1952, the American Counseling Association is the world's largest private, non-profit organization for professional counselors in various practice settings. Dedicated to the growth and enhancement of the counseling profession, the ACA provides leadership training, continuing education and advocacy services for its more than 50,000 members.
