ETAMU Assistant Professor Receives Special Appointment From Texas Governor

Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently appointed Assistant Professor Belinda Rudinger, Ed.D., to the Governing Board of the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI). Rudinger is a psychology and special education professor at East Texas A&M University. She was announced as an appointee along with two others in February 2025. TSBVI is a leading center of educational expertise and resources for all Texas students who are blind, visually impaired or deafblind.
Rudinger received her Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Master of Education in Special Education from the University of North Texas. She received her Doctor of Education in Educational Sustainability from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She is a Texas-certified teacher for students with visual impairments and a nationally certified assistive technology instructional specialist for individuals with visual impairments.
