Freshman Students Complete Global Competence Aptitude Assessment

The QEP program has assessed our new freshmen on their global competencies using the GCAA (Global Competence Aptitude Assessment). Throughout the second week of classes, the QEP staff and committee members conducted sessions that informed students about the importance of the GCAA and assessed their current competency levels. Session leaders briefly relayed to participants the significance and value of the assessment for their individual growth and for university accreditation.

Based on eight components of readiness, assessment scores reflect how globally competent an individual is, and a final 25 page report advises the student on areas for improvement.

Now that our freshman students have completed the GCAA, they understand what steps they can take to become more globally competent and also move one step closer to earning their global scholar designations.
