Hundreds of Students Attend The Annual Multicultural Festival

By: Christopher Woodard

On March 29, the office of International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS) hosted its annual Multicultural Festival, which showcased and celebrated the many different international cultures represented on campus. This event featured tables where international students and student organizations shared food and information about these cultures. The event concluded with a talent and fashion show. Hundreds of students attended this event, and it was great to open students' eyes to all the different cultures around campus. The QEP Team supported, volunteered and participated in the festival.

Our QEP team member Rochana Kaushik participated with the Nepalese student organization in an amazing dance that grabbed the attention of the entire crowd and also won first place in the talent show. Other members of the QEP team interviewed students in attendance who spoke about how much they learned about international food, activities, clothing and other interesting dynamics regarding cultures around the world. Bringing these different cultures together showcased how unique and diverse our university has become.
