Lion Graduates Take Center Stage at Inaugural East Texas A&M Commencement Ceremonies
More than 1,200 students made history as the first-ever graduates of East Texas A&M University during five separate commencement ceremonies held on December 13 and 14. The historic events were attended by thousands of friends and family as they filled the Field House on the main Commerce campus. In total, there were 1,289 graduates, 435 of whom were first-generation college students, as well as 354 graduating with some level of academic distinction. Lion graduates represented nine different countries and 30 U.S. states.
