Lion Volleyball Announces 2025 Conference Schedule, to Host SLC Tournament on Nov. 21-23

The East Texas A&M University volleyball program released its 2025 Southland Conference schedule, which includes hosting the SLC Volleyball Tournament in Commerce at the end of the season.

For the second year in a row, all SLC schools are set to play 16 regular-season conference matches. The Lions have finished eighth in the conference each of the last two seasons.

The Lions begin SLC play in the Hunt Regional Healthcare Court at the Field House on September 25 and 27 with matches against HCU and UIW, respectively.

The next four matches come on the road for the Lions, which is also the longest road trip for the Lions during SLC play. East Texas A&M plays at defending SLC Tournament champion A&M-Corpus Christi on October 2, UTRGV on October 4, New Orleans on October 9, and two-time defending SLC champion Southeastern on October 11.

After a quick home match against Nicholls on October 15, the Lions play at McNeese on October 18. SFA makes the trip to Commerce on October 23, and the Lions host Lamar on October 25 as part of Homecoming weekend.

The Lions’ final road trip of the regular season will include games at HCU on October 30, UIW on November 1, and Northwestern State on November 6.

The Lions play the Lady Demons twice in one week, as after the match in Natchitoches on November 6, the two teams play in Commerce on November 8.

On the final weekend of the regular season, the Lions host A&M-Corpus Christi on November 13 and UTRGV on November 15.

The Southland Conference Tournament will be played on the Hunt Regional Healthcare Court in the Field House on November 21-23. It marks the first time that the Lions are hosting the conference volleyball tournament since 2019 and the first SLC postseason event held in Commerce since the outdoor track and field championships in 2023.

The full schedule for the 2025 season and match times will be released in the coming weeks.
