Mesquite Workshop To Give Taste of College Life
COMMERCE, Texas – Texas A&M University-Commerce faculty will give area middle school and high school students a taste of college life during a seminar on Saturday, Nov. 8.
The free High School and Middle School Academic Enrichment Seminar will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the A&M-Commerce Metroplex Center in Mesquite.
“Workshop sessions are designed to expand educational horizons and let students experience college level classes taught by college professors,” said Dr. Joyce Miller, associate professor of curriculum and instruction at A&M-Commerce.
“A wide range of topics will be explored, from the arts and sciences, business, human services, education, and engineering,” Miller said. A continental breakfast and lunch are provided.
