Navigating Professional Opportunities for International Students
Alumna provide insights
Business Analytics alums Lola Yemidale, Joyce Agbanobi and Miyyah Ogunbanwo—who were all able to navigate the OPT/CPT process successfully and eventually obtained visa sponsorship—joined the College of Business, Career Services and Career Development to host a panel to provide support for current students. The panelists have worked in roles for Intel, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon and Cisco. They shared with students the importance of using on-campus resources and taking advantage of virtual and in-person networking opportunities. Finally, they encouraged students to remain confident sharing that they had to submit hundreds of applications to find a role that was a fit for them.
The event was hosted in a hybrid format which allowed students to join both in-person and via Zoom. Over 80 students attended the session live and the event was recorded for future use.
