Pair of TAMUC Alumni Named to Quinlan ISD Hall of Fame
The Quinlan Independent School District in Quinlan, Texas recently announced their 2024 Hall of Fame inductees, which include a pair of Texas A&M University-Commerce alumni. Dr. Debra Crosby and Paul David Joel Smith were announced as the newest Hall of Fame inductees in September 2024. Crosby, a two-time Lion graduate, is a lifelong educator who held the titles of teacher, counselor, assistant principal, assistant superintendent, deputy superintendent and superintendent during her 40-plus-year career. She graduated from East Texas State University (now A&M-Commerce) in 1980 with an M.S. in Counseling and again in 1998 with a doctorate in Educational Administration. Smith graduated from A&M-Commerce in 1997 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. After more than 25 years with the Texas Department of Public Safety, he is currently a senior agent of statewide behavioral threat assessments with the Texas Education Agency.
