Photography Student’s Career Blasts Off with NASA Internship

East Texas A&M University photography major Morgan Gridley received a photography internship with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). She earned the coveted position for Summer 2025 at the Johnson Space Center following a competitive selection process. Gridley is set to work with members of the administration’s video and photo teams on technical and scientific documentation projects. In addition, she will produce video and photos for distribution via various outlets such as NASA TV, the NASA YouTube channel and more. Her work will showcase research, projects and missions.

Originally from California, Gridley moved to Texas to receive her education at East Texas A&M.

East Texas A&M Art Professor Leigh Merril congratulated Gridley on her achievement.

“I am very proud and excited for her and know this will be an incredible opportunity and formative experience,” Merril said. “Way to go, Morgan!”
