Rayburn Student Center Expansion
The A&M-Commerce Rayburn Student Center (RSC) is breaking ground yet again after its creation only four short years ago.
“The fact that we have to add on after only four years, says something about our growth and student involvement,” said Mary Hendrix, the Vice President of Student Access and Success for the university.
As far as student growth, A&M-Commerce is one of the top five universities in the state. It has grown by 1,000 students every year for the last three consecutive years. The expansion of the RSC will include a new special events room, more office suites and it will double both the dining room and meeting place seats available. The university plans to expand the building by 28,000 square feet to the south of its West Neal Street position. The project is expected to be completed by December 2013.
