
Record Number of Visual Communications Student Work Featured in Graphis New Talent Annual
28 projects from 16 A&M-Commerce Visual Communications (VisCom) students are featured in the 2018 Graphis New Talent Annual. An international publisher of books on communication design, Graphis presents and promotes the best submitted work in graphic design, advertising, photography and art/illustration.
48 universities from multiple countries submitted work for inclusion in this year's annual. The 28 pieces from A&M-Commerce constitutes the largest amount of inclusions in the school's recorded history of Graphis submission.
Gold winners included Solbinna Choi (BFA ‘18), Aliana Layug (BFA ‘18) and Hayley Green (BFA ‘18). Silver winners are Karina Perez-Fajardo (BFA ‘18), Alex Flores (BFA ‘17), Cooper Weinstein (BFA ‘18), Brandi Hamilton (BFA ‘19) and Kelsey Paine (BFA ‘19). Merit winners are Cooper Weinstein, Haebinna Choi (BFA ‘18), Nura Saadaliah (MFA ‘19), Karina Perez-Fajardo, Autumn Hecknard (BFA ‘18), Kelsey Paine, Solbinna Choi and Christa Griffith (BFA ‘18).
Platinum and Gold winners receive full-page exposure, and Silver and Merit winners are also visually presented. Entries from each competition are included in the online archive for future reference, where everyone gets the same presentation.
