Research Team Receives Grant from National I-Corps Program

A&M-Commerce's NSF-I-Corps team, led by Dr. Larry Lemanski, received a $50,000 NSF grant for a project titled “Regeneration of Cardiac Muscle using Cardiac Inducing RNA (CIR) Treated Stem Cells.” The NSF-I Corps program will begin in San Antonio in September 2019 and will help to commercialize the team's ground-breaking discoveries on repairing damaged heart tissue.
