Rockwall Real Estate Company Partners with TAMUC to Support the Lion Community
Through the agreement, The Weast Group will provide specialized real estate services to the A&M-Commerce community, fund scholarships, and support the Alumni Association.
The Texas A&M-Commerce Alumni Association is excited to announce a three-year partnership with Keller Williams Realty Rockwall–The Weast Group. Through the agreement, The Weast Group will provide specialized real estate services to the A&M-Commerce community, supporting alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of A&M-Commerce as they buy or sell a home. A portion of the commission earned from these transactions will help fund scholarships for the new residential real estate program at A&M Commerce.
Supporting TAMUC’s Real Estate Program
The online real estate program assists students in fulfilling the educational requirements to take the real estate exam or renew their real estate license.
“What a great opportunity for alumni to be part of the new residential real estate program,” said Brian Weast (‘89), an A&M-Commerce alumnus and CEO of The Weast Group. “When they buy or sell a property through the partnership program, part of the commission will fund scholarships, which will assist the growth and awareness of this new program over the coming years,” he said.
Scott Wheeler, interim dean for the College of Business, said a residential real estate program is needed at A&M-Commerce.
“With the exponential population growth in Northeast Texas, we are thrilled to partner with Keller Williams Realty-Rockwall to grow a residential real estate program at A&M-Commerce,” said Wheeler. “We plan for our students to learn about all facets of residential development while earning their license as another credential during their academic experience.”
This alumni partnership highlights the commitment of both A&M Commerce and The Weast Group to supporting educational advancements and enhancing community opportunities.
Supporting the Alumni Association
As an added partnership perk, patrons who mention A&M Commerce when they buy or sell a home through The Weast Group will receive a referral payment from the agency to the Alumni Association.
“We are thrilled to team up with The Weast Group,” said Amanda Lowe ('04,'11), director of Alumni Engagement at A&M Commerce. “This partnership not only supports our Lion community but also fosters future educational opportunities. “
