Sigma Alpha Pi, The National Society of Leadership and Success at Texas A&M University-Commerce
The spring induction and awards ceremony into the honor society, Sigma Alpha Pi – National Society of Leadership and Success at Texas A&M University-Commerce was held on May 6, 2016, at Ferguson Auditorium. The organization proudly celebrated the accomplishments of over 340 members with over 600 family members and guests present.
The honor society invites some of the most dedicated students at Texas A&M University-Commerce based on a wide variety of factors, including GPA, involvement, leadership potential, and faculty/staff recommendation. Each member commits to a journey full of core leadership sessions, including leadership training, speakers, success networking team sessions and community service. Each new member is required to complete requisite steps and maintain solid academic standing in order to earn full induction and awards in the society.
Along with being recognized as one of the largest nationwide chapters, the A&M-Commerce chapter has also been ranked as one of the best for the engagement of its members, and remains the largest student organization on campus. The society expects to host leadership events for up to 300 newly selected members in the fall 2016 semester.
