Social Work Instructor Slated to Serve on Regulatory Association’s Board of Directors

Brian Brumley, LMSW-IPR, clinical instructor and field director for the Bachelor of Social Work program at East Texas A&M, has been selected to serve a one-year term on the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) board of directors.

Brumley, a licensed master social worker, joined the School of Social Work at East Texas A&M in 2001 after practicing for more than 10 years with Child Protective Services. He works closely with CPS and other agencies dedicated to improving children's lives. His professional interests include field education, children and families, and community development and organization. Also an East Texas A&M alum, Brumley earned his bachelor’s in political science and economics in 1990.

ASWB provides support and services to the social work regulatory community with the goal of advancing safe, competent and ethical practices to strengthen public protection.
