TAHPERD Pathfinder Award

Margo Harbison was the recipient of the Pathfinder Award at the 2013 TAHPERD convention, an award established to provide state recognition to women who have demonstrated continuous dedication to the advocacy, recruitment and enhancement of girls and women in the sport and sport leadership in Texas. Margo served as the Lions' athletic director and head of the department of health and physical education from 1988 to 1999 where she guided the athletic department on a conference and national level, transitioning from East Texas State to A&M-Commerce. She was a member of the NCAA Division II Restructuring Committee and the Postgraduate Scholarship Committee and is also a member of the A&M-Commerce Athletic Hall of Fame.
