TAMUC Alum Coaches NJCAA Team to Top-4 National Finish
A Texas A&M University-Commerce alum nearly coached her team to a junior college women’s basketball national championship this season. Latasha Keith, head coach at Dallas College Cedar Valley, led the Suns to a fourth-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Tournament. Keith’s squad went 19-7 this season, which included a perfect 4-0 record in conference play. The team’s playoff run featured wins against Joliet Junior College, Monroe College – Bronx and Onondaga Community College. Keith also was named the Dallas Athletic Conference Coach of the Year for the second time since her tenure at Cedar Valley began in 2019. Keith is a 2014 graduate of A&M-Commerce, earning a Master of Science degree in Applied Criminology.
