TAMUC Alum to Return to ‘Jeopardy!’
Texas A&M University-Commerce alum Jared Watson will be competing in the 2024 “Jeopardy!” Tournament of Champions. The Tournament of Champions is an annual trivia tournament featuring the top 15 winners from the previous season of Jeopardy. The Tournament takes two weeks and is played over several rounds, with the final winner receiving a prize of $250,000.
In June 2023, Watson competed on “Jeopardy!” and became a three-time winner on the trivia show, winning over $58,000. His streak was broken when he was defeated by a small margin of $200.
According to the Herald Banner, Watson expects the Tournament of Champions to begin taping sometime in February and air around April.
Watson attended A&M-Commerce and graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism in 2011.
