TAMUC Alumna Hired as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Gregory-Portland ISD

A&M-Commerce alumna Cynthia Woody, Ed.D., was recently hired to serve as the executive director of Curriculum and Instruction for Gregory-Portland ISD. G-PISD is located in Southeast Texas, near Corpus Christi. According to an article in The News of San Patricio, Woody previously worked at The University of Texas at Arlington as the director of the Office of Educator Field Experiences.

She holds nine educator certifications in Texas, including principal and superintendent certifications. Among her honors, she was recently nominated for The University of Texas at Arlington President's Award for Transformative Online Education.

Woody earned her Master of Science and Doctor of Education degrees from A&M-Commerce.
