TAMUC Rodeo Team Members Shine at College Finals
Three members of the Texas A&M University-Commerce Rodeo Team represented their university well at the College National Finals Rodeo held in Casper, Wyoming from June 11 to June 19. Wyatt Muggli, Alyssa Lockhart and Ryan Nettle all qualified for the finals in at least one event. Muggli, a graduate student from Lane, Oklahoma, seeking a degree in agricultural sciences, competed in Calf Roping and Team Roping and finished 38th and 43rd, respectively. Lockhart, a psychology major from Oelrichs, South Dakota, finished 24th nationally in Goat Tying and 21st in Barrel Racing. Nettle, an agribusiness major from Goldthwaite, Texas, placed 14th in the nation in Steer Roping. This comes after he won the third round of the competition outright.
