Taylor Phelps named NAADD Rising Star

The National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) has named Taylor Phelps the 2020 Rising Star Award winner. Phelps works at A&M-Commerce as the associate director for resource development and executive director of the Lion Champions Fund. He also oversees the Lion Sports Properties (corporate partnerships) and ticket sales. Phelps' philanthropic success, which has generated over $400,000 in the 2019 fiscal year, reflects his gift for cultivating relationships both on and off campus. He focuses on identifying and engaging friends and alumni who wish to provide a “Best in Class” experience for Lion student-athletes. Phelps graduated from A&M-Commerce in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Health & Human Performance. He was also a Lions basketball player from 2009-2014. He earned his master's degree from the University of Missouri in 2016.
