Teacher Career Fair Coming Soon
The annual Teacher Career Fair, hosted by Career Development, will take place on March 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Rayburn Student Center. Students will have the chance to meet face-to-face with employers and discuss internship, part-time and full-time employment opportunities.
“We have over 63 employers attending the Teacher Career Fair this year,” said Ashley Ortiz, assistant director of career development. “A&M-Commerce is known for our education program and they are here to find and recruit our teachers at our reputable school. This is a perfect opportunity to network at any level – freshman, sophomore, junior or senior level.”
Attendees should be dressed professionally and bring multiple copies of resumes and business cards. Students in need of professional attire are encouraged to stop by the Career Closet to pick out an outfit for the event at no cost. Having a solid elevator pitch is also encouraged to get the best experience from the event.
“This is an excellent opportunity to make the connection with ISD's who are here on campus looking to hire teachers,” said Tina Boitnott, director of career development. “Are you professionally prepared?”
