A Conversation with Aly
Aly grew up in a military household so the world is home for her. If Aly had to choose one place to live, it would have to be Okinawa Japan. She loves Okinawa because, that's where she was last before moving to Texas and where a lot of her most important memories are. Aly enjoys trying new foods like octopus and squid (not the fired kind) which have become normal choices, not unusual.
She recently tried camping and loves it because camping really resets your mind in a sense. Just being away and not having to worry about anything. Watching a good anime or KDrama show is fun for Aly. She also enjoys such activities as painting, singing and reading when she has time. Aly’s professional goal is to become a Physical Therapist because her dad was always in and out of physical therapy being active in the military. Aly had multiple chances to help him remove stiches that he received from countless surgeries and knew that's what she wanted to do. Her experiences help Aly in her current position at the Rec Center where Aly enjoys working with others.
How do you help students when they come to the Rec Center?
When students come to the Rec I help them in any way that I can. Having been at this University since the beginning of my undergraduate college career in 2015 I have a few tips and tricks up my sleeve to help them be successful in multiple aspects not just in the Rec.
How do you like to stay active?
Reading, sudoku and working out.
What do you like most about your career in Campus Rec?
My favorite part of my job is getting to meet and connect with people.
