A Conversation with Anthony
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy assisting our students in embarking on their incredible journey to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
What is an important life lesson you’ve learned?
When I was a kid, my grandfather allowed me to assist with nailing some boards together on his project. As I swung the hammer at the nail, I missed the nail about as often as I hit it, unfortunately damaging the boards in the process. Finally, with some consternation, my grandfather said, “If you'll look where you're hitting, you'll hit where you're looking”! In my adult life, I have learned the importance of that statement. In a word it is about “focus”. Focus on your target/goal. Be intentional. Eliminate distractions. Maintain that focus and you will “hit where you're looking”. That life lesson has served me well.
What do you like to do when you’re not working?
I love playing guitar and doing just about anything outdoors including fishing, hunting, horseback riding, jeeping and camping.
