Brianna Butler grew up in Irving, Texas, where she attended MacArthur High School. As a first-generation college student, the path to higher education was challenging and incredibly rewarding. Upon graduating from high school, she enrolled at Texas A&M University-Commerce, ready to embark on a new chapter of her life. Throughout her time at A&M-Commerce, Butler was deeply involved in various campus organizations that became integral to her college experience. She was a member of several organizations, allowing her to find her niche and a sense of community that profoundly shaped Butler’s college years. After dedicating herself to studies and extracurricular activities, Butler proudly graduated with her bachelor’s degree, but her journey didn’t end there.

What makes A&M-Commerce unique?

At A&M-Commerce, there’s an infectious energy that permeates everything we do. We’re not just a university; we’re a vibrant community where students are at the heart of everything. From the moment you step onto our campus, you’re greeted with smiles and enthusiasm, and it’s clear that we’re all here to support each other’s journey. Also, every corner of our campus is designed with students' success and well-being in mind. Whether it’s the state-of-the-art facilities, innovative programs, or personalized support services, we leave no stone unturned in ensuring that our students have everything they need to thrive. Together, we’re more than just a university; we’re a real blue and gold family. We celebrate each other’s successes, lift each other up during challenges, and create memories that last a lifetime. At A&M-Commerce, it’s not just about getting an education; it’s about finding your place in a community that believes in you and cheers you on every step of the way.

What is something you enjoy about working at A&M-Commerce? Why?

Working in philanthropy holds a special place in my heart because it allows me to pay forward the incredible experiences I had as a student at A&M-Commerce. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of playing a part in helping someone access the funding needed to pursue their education and experience all the amazing things about our campus.

As a former student, I understand firsthand the transformative power of education and the impact it can have on someone’s life. From the vibrant campus atmosphere to the supportive community, A&M-Commerce is truly a place where dreams are nurtured and futures are shaped. Every dollar raised, every donor connection made, and every scholarship awarded is not just a transaction; it’s an investment in someone’s future. It helps open doors, break down barriers, and create opportunities for success and innovation, and I couldn’t imagine a more fulfilling way to spend my days.
