Brittney Yager grew up in a small, East Texas town similar to Commerce. She attended East Texas A&M after receiving a scholarship and was thrilled to find a welcoming community and support system that truly cared about her success and invested in her growth. Brittney is passionate about helping students find their place to fit in and people who value them for who they are.

How can I help you?

I help students connect with experiences that they might not have known are possible in their undergraduate career, such as the Honors undergraduate research experience. In addition, I help recruit students to the Honors College and facilitate their transfer from high school to their first semester of college. I also teach classes for the freshman first-year experience as well as research seminar courses.

A Conversation with Brittney

What do you like most about your career?

I am privileged to meet our students in their final semester of high school when they apply for our program. The part I enjoy the most is helping them along the way to complete their degree requirements and eventually congratulate them at their graduation reception! It's a true joy to see these students grow and blossom during their time at ETAMU.
