A Conversation with Dr. Hartmann
What has been your favorite course to teach?
Although I have taught numerous accounting courses, my favorite course to teach is the Ethics course of Accountants. Students learn to deal with unethical dilemmas that occur in real life and how to solve them. They also learn the importance of being the public watchdog and managing the ethical perceptions associated with the accounting profession.
What do you like most about your career?
I have been teaching accounting for 20 years both abroad and in the United States. I truly enjoy being in the classroom, getting to know my students and engaging with them. I enjoy being able to pass along my professional experiences and my knowledge as well as create everlasting professional relationships. My door is always open so students are welcome to ask questions or ask for advice.
