Being a part of the STEM Living and Learning Community (LLC) allowed me to be involved and surrounded by like-minded individuals who had aspiring dreams and goals they wanted to accomplish. Being in the LLC encouraged me to become a Leader on campus, by first becoming a Lead Resident Assistant, The president of the largest student organization in the country (The national Society of Leadership and Success), a Golden Leo, American chemical society member, tri-beta biological honors society, member and a member of the student healthcare outreach society. The LLC motivates and encourages students to pursue their academic capabilities and graduate in the STEM field, despite the low retention rate among STEM students due to the challenges and rigors of the Field
